Assalamualaikum Wr Wb Dear Parents,
As we look forward to the actual MADRASAH ENTRANCE TEST next week, we are here to share a final checklist to help your child feel calm, confident, and fully prepared. These small steps make a big difference in setting the right mindset for the day.
1. Familiarity with the School Environment: Please ensure your child has seen the school from the outside — the gate, drop‑off area and general compound. A simple peek helps them visualise the space, reduces nerves for next week, and builds comfort.
2. Emotional Preparation: It helps to keep reminding your child:
- We are simply trying our best.
- We will give our best effort, and the rest is up to Allah SWT.
- Allah always gives what is best for us, because Allah knows best.
- What matters most to Mummy and Daddy is that they try — and that is already enough.
This repeated reassurance helps them feel safe, supported, and grounded.
3. Walk Them Through the Day: Explain the flow of the day so they know exactly what to expect:
- Wake up, have breakfast.
- A calm, slow drive to school.
- Relax in the car or nearby while waiting for the reporting time.
- They will go in, register, and sit for the test.
- Once they are done, you will be waiting right outside.
- And then… it’s time to CELEBRATE their effort.
Predictability reduces anxiety and boosts confidence.
4. Stationery & Personal Items: Kindly check that your child’s items are simple and non‑distracting.
- Ensure they have sufficient stationery, especially if they tend to drop or misplace pencils.
- Colour pencils should include all necessary colours, with only one shade per colour to avoid confusion.
- Water bottle and jacket should be practical and distraction‑free.
5. Tissue in Pencil Case: Please pack a small packet of tissue in their pencil case. Unexpected sneezes or runny noses can make them uncomfortable and having tissue on hand helps them stay focused.
6. Test Reminders: Please remind them to stay calm and remember these key points:
- Check the subject of the paper so they don’t answer in the wrong language.
- Know whether to start from the right or left page.
- Read the instructions carefully — colour, cross, match, circle, etc.
7. Handling Unfamiliar Questions: If they come across a question that feels unfamiliar or confusing, remind them:
- Don’t panic.
- Read the question slowly and try to understand.
- If it still doesn’t make sense, skip it first and complete the rest.
- Come back to it later when they feel calmer.
This helps them manage their time and emotions wisely.
8. Spiritual & Emotional Send-Off: Before they enter the school, recite together the necessary surah and dua.
Give them a tight hug and reassure them once more that they are already winners — because they have tried, prepared, and shown courage. That alone is something to be proud of.
P/S: PLEASE BE 30 MINUTES EARLY ON ACTUAL DAY!
We are doing very well, Parents! InsyaAllah, Khair!
